Since we can hide the ‘hot’ appliances inside our mini-kitchens, you might be concerned whether the “hot” appliances get far too hot while in such a confined area. Or you might ask yourself what happens if the doors are closed before everything cools down?

The pocket doors that hide the appliances are part of an exclusive technology no other cabinet company has taken the time to think about. We have designed these doors to cut off the power supply to the 120V oven and cooktop when the doors are shut and you can’t see the appliances. You won’t have to worry about accidentally leaving the oven on. When you are cooking, the doors must be open and stored in their pockets; this is the hidden safety feature. This also keeps the doors out of the way so you can move about freely while enjoying the pleasure of your family and guests.
When you are finished cooking, the doors can slide out of the pockets and close again, hiding the entire interior of the mini-kitchen. Some of our models have super hot 240V ovens located below the countertop, so the lower doors that hide them actually lock in their pockets until the oven has a chance to cool off after you are done cooking. Our U.L Listed rating insures that Underwriter Laboratories conducted extensive testing to assure you (and the building officials) that you’re safe and sound in the hands of YesterTec.
